Out of State Biosolids (sludge)Threaten the
North Fork - State Water Control Board
will hear final objections on Sept. 28.
|
After more than a year of sustained involvement, including
written comments and testifying at public hearing by our members and the
concerned public regarding a permit to spread sludge on flood plain and
karst areas in Shenandoah County, the Virginia State Water Control
Board will make its final decision on whether or not to approve the
permit submitted by Recyc Inc. on September 28, 2010. Friends' director
and several members will be traveling to Richmond to make a final
objection to the permit. If you submitted comments or spoke at the
July 6 public hearing and would like to attend the meeting in Richmond
to further object to the permit, please call Leslie at 540-459-8550.
